u might notice ur engine revs just a little quicker~
and maybe like 1 or 2 bhp more~ but less protection to it~
i uses 5w-50~ and i lose up like 2~5 bhp~ but much much more protection~
i mean i rev my engine hard in the twisties~ so.....

0-30 is way to thin.
I'd run 10-30 if I had the weather you do.

yoshi - who just put in 5/30 Neo, but will go back to 10/30 next time
Since we are in Cali, shouldn't we use 10w30 rather than 0w30? 0w30 should be for colder weather. I currently use 10w30 and it doesn't have a problem with burning.

the larger the delta between the two numbers......the more added polymers.
polymers are added to increase the viscoisty(sp) but degrade the "lubeablilty" of the oil.
If I lived in a perfect world, I'd run straight 40 or 50 weight. but I don't have 15 mins every morning to warm up my car so as to not blow all my oil seals.........
long story short, get the oil with the least amount of delta BUT stay in the temp guidlines of your geographic region......

It really wouldn't matter if your ITR isn't a daily driver. I dun think the "moogenmoblile" is thanks to the CR-V! Wow I never tried Ow-30 before.
For daily driving the 10w-30 would be best but for track driving 5w-30 is best and it is recommended by Honda! The 5w-30 is better for me because it flows better after a cold startup! When I switched from the 10w-30 it seemed like my R did better on gas also! Could be me tho!

I agree with the 10W-30 crowd - particularly if you do a lot of short trips....where the engine needs the most protection on start up!
On a Oil related note, does anyone use the 'Redline' products....in particular the Redline 'Light Weight ShockProof' gear-box oil?? I was recommended to use it and their 10W-30 engine oil??
Here's a link - http://www.redlineoil.com/products.htm - if you're interested.
everyone.
