OBD II to OBD I changeover and SMOG
ok i bought my car, a 1996 prelude s not knowing what I wanted to do with it, liked the 4th gen bodystyle and thought it'd be best to get the newest one i could. I ended up puting in a jdm h22a and because it was a 96 i had to do the obd2 to obd1 changeover for which a converter/changeover harness was used. Now i have to get it smoged, and was wondering if my obd2 plug will even work if i take it somewhere to get it smoged. i really dont know much about smog equipment. But i see so many people with jdm swaps theres gota be some trick to it... right?
- thanx in advance for any help

If you are OBD2 car then your scanner has to work in order for it to smog in cali, when they run the car on the dyno for smog they will also plug into the Dataport as well allowing them to check for check engine lights
