Crower Stage 2 All motor Intake Camshaft doesn't lay evenly... is it okay?
I have a b18c1 with crower stage 2 all motor cam shafts. I'm having trouble getting the intake camshaft to sit down properly. The second set of rocker arms closer to the distributor is holding it up from being layed properly.
If i try to push down on one side of the camshaft with the cam caps on the opposite side of the camshaft would pop up. Also, if I rotate the camshaft 90 degrees it sits properly on top of the rocker arms, but the cam gear marks wouldn't be at TDC.
What should i do? Is there something wrong or is everything is fine and continue bolting it down? Timing is set on mark. Exhaust camshaft is perfectly even along all rocker arms.

I think the problem that u have is the valves are not open right now because the cam caps are not torqued. When u torque them the valves will open and it will sit flush.

I put a set of the stage 2 turbo cams in my car never had that problem I would not throw the caps on there and torque them down that's a big no no. Look it over real good. Also if the valve lift is over .430 on those cams you need to make sure you have ITR lost motion devices or very late model b16/GSR units or they will bottom out and cam breakage is possible if you can't figure it out goto theoldone.com and ask larry in the forum he can help you out..

just bolt down the cam caps and the cam will sit normal. Its pushing on the rocker which is pushing on the valve springs so it wont sit down evenly with something pushing it down.If it did than youve got valvespring issues.
And no,you do not need itr lma's to run the 402's..theyre not big enough need them.

Undo the tappet lock nuts and unthread the tappets. You should be doing a valve adjustment anyways when installing new cams.
^ good advice up there. I believe the cam wont even push the rockers if you loosen the rocker screws all the way. Then you just tighten back up when you dial in your valve clearance.
I just went to crower and looked the lift is .466 What year motor is this if this is a very late model B16 then it should have the new style LMA's if not then you will have to buy them like me and they are not cheap I thinks they are $46 a piece from honda. Here's a link with the pictures Larry from endyn told me this and in my opinion i don't think there's anyone more professional than him

You can keep the motor in the car you will have to pull the cams out to see for sure. You can see the LMA's with the cams still in but won't be able to see the wiper pad and to see if they are tapered.
