Default What, No one watched the TC and GT challenge yesterday?

to Endicott for some great clean racing, carving his way through the field and Kleinubing as well as some better luck for both this round!

Nice to see RTR in a 1-2 positions with Acura and Nissan.

This was a great race to watch. The GT was not quite as exciting imo.

I taped it all and still haven't had a chance to watch the Porsche challenge or Le Mans yet.

Alright, this oughta make it more interesting I didn't even know this when I watched:

http://www.world-challenge.com....html

"REALTIME RACING WAIVES RIGHT TO PROTEST, ROAD AMERICA SPEED TOURING CAR RESULTS FINAL

TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 24, 2004) – Results from Sunday’s SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Round Eight race have gone final, with no changes from the revised provisional that named Peter Cunningham the race winner.

RealTime Racing, which expressed its intent to protest the decision of the Chief Steward to disqualify its initial race-winning entry for Pierre Kleinubing, waived its right to the protest and has accepted the disqualification.

In a release put out by RealTime Racing, the team stated: “The onus for proper configuration rests with each competitor, and when it comes to the pieces in question, we made a significant but unintentional error.”

The cylinder head and intake manifold from Kleinubing’s Acura TSX was found to have modifications not specifically permitted by the car’s Vehicle Technical Specifications (VTS).

“RealTime Racing has accepted the penalty,” SCCA Vice President and General Manager Mitch Wright said. “We have talked with the team, and accept that they did not purposely try to break the rules. They made an error in understanding the rules for this model. Regardless, the parts were not to the specifications set, and are therefore not legal.”

lol no wonder PK has such a huge lead.
the porsche supercup coverage after the WC races was badass.
then they had lemans coverage, which was also badass.
F1 came later on, but was not as exciting as the day's previous races.
good to see kimi win.

"Bob Endicott, of San Pedro, Calif., held on for a solid fourth place performance in the No. 64 King Motorsports/Mugen Power Acura RSX, after a late race battle with Sweden’s Nic Jonsson, who finished fifth. Endicott also set a new fast race lap record with a 2:29.617 (97.400) en route to winning the UrbanRacer.com Hot Lap Award."

Ahh the Audi's are still pulling ahead by amazing lengths in the GT class, and funny to say I remember when seeing Kleinubing pull ahead and drive like that more often in the Type-R of past, well maybe not that far ahead

S'hhh I didn't get to see the Porsche races yet or Le Mans.

I did however watch F1 in the morning yesterday before work.

Yes it is Good to see Kimi up there Things got a bit more interesting, but ya just can't deny Schumi is "that good"!

Didn't watch it yesterday, I was out playing golf. I had planned on taping it, but I didn't have any blank VHS tapes

But I did watch the race live at Road America Definitely the best WC race I've seen at RA

Anton, speaking of Kimi ...

He has to be the MOST boring interview ever. And also very stone-faced.. no emotion in the interview room at all.

At least for me, that made me appreciate MS. Very well spoken and a bit more animated.

As far as PK - I really dont think the modifications gave him that significant an advantage in the race. Cunningham said he had no brakes on lap three for a turn, not sure which, and PK passed and took advantage of the big mistake. PK was the smoothest car out there into/out of turn 5, looked really good.

was a great race and i'm so glad i got to see it live.

VHS? TAPES? Where do you find these relics? Doesn't anyone on here have Tivo? I bought one when they first came out...it broke about a year ago and I was lost without it. About a month later I bought a new one. Go get a Tivo!

Of course! Racing, Sienfeld, Family Guy, Entourage, Da Ali G Show, and Aqua Teens....there's my Tivo recording list.

I also wish that Speed would broadcast in HD on DirecTV.

I'd love for a copy of that too. I watched it live in person, but was not able to here because I don't have speed at my place. You have to pay like an extra $40/mo. for it...lame.

Yep...everytime I visit my family, I watch those in HD. In fact, I never watch tv here at my apt (no hd), but when visiting family, I watch HD all the time. I look forward to more programming HD.

...

Anyway, someone has to have a copy of the race.
