Well in my 94 teg today when I hit the open switch the motor just whines and then I hit the close switch n it moves a little. Aack What do I do, do I buy another motor from acura and take off the headiner and install?? Is it easy and do I need to take anything off besides the headliner to replace the motor?
haha..buddy, relax, your rubber around your moonroof is probably dried up, so spray some wd40 on it and try it again.

I would say try give it a whirl with the manual lever. pop off the cap and use the tool to open and close it a few times, then try again.
if it still doesn't work, might be your motor or might be the cable is stuck.

It is the round plug over the rear seat. Use a quarter to take that out, and I believe you use the lug nut wrench to open or close it. Check in your owners manual. It should be there.

Well I put a alan wrench in there but it felt like I was forcing it so I stopped, What Gives?? My roof just stopped working all of a sudden wtf could it be, I wonder how much acura charges to fix it.
try changing the relay 1st under ur steering wheel and see wut happen.. this happened to me before and i just change the relay it work back to normal... if it doesnt do anything i got the moonroof motor for sale let me kno....
use the manual release, use something to turn it if you don't still have the release tool, mine was acting the same way, used the manual release and once i did that it has been working fine since, must have been something stuck in the tracks
on my old LS, I had the same problem... I used the manual release tool, and it worked, however had some hesitation. So I cleaned the tracks, and applied a small amount of grease, and it worked fine without any problems for over a year(when I got rid of her).

IT get stuck and binds, how the hell can it just go out of track like that, wtf. I went to the glass shop and I think I dont want them to do it as they would rip me off.
do you hear the 'buzz' of the sunroof engine when you push the switch?? if so then teh motor is probably fine, it just sounds like the roof is stuck. Try pushing in it while pushing the open switch. Also try what aznstyler119 said and spray some lubricant onto the rubber gasket around the roof.

I try turning it with the manual wrench and it moves a little bit and then gets stuck, I know its not the seal on top getting stuck, I tried pushing on it.

Ahhhh the Day of GlorY
Well on advice from sim shadeee I forced my moonroof open with the manual tool. At the point of binding which is just a little open from close I forced it just a little, not too rough and it snapped out and I got it too open.
Make a long story short, theres these tracks that move back and forth and is held back by a spring, on each side. Well on close examination the track on the right side did not have the spring attatched and the track was slightly off the rails near the spring mount. I stuck a flat head screwdriver in there and got it back on the tracks. I also lubed all the rubbers with O-Ring lubricant, wd40 would probably make the rubber expand so dont use that.
My moonroof is working FlaWlessLy now, I went to 2 upholstry shops, and was this close to start removing the headliner. Thank god I pm'd Slim Shadeee else I probably would do something stupid like take off the headliner.
Yep this is a good ThanksGiving WeekEnd After All
