My moonroof sucks
It will open well but it won't close unless I pull it forward. It actually has a little trouble pushing up also. Is this the motor crapping out or can I clean the track and lube it up or something??

Good advice. Where were you when I was pulling mine forward, which I recommend not doing too many times unless you are looking to replace the entire sunroof soon. Mine flew off at 40 mph.

Mine too that's the draw back of driving an 11 year old car
I cleaned some of the gunk outta it and put a new lube in WD-40 the joints and it worked like new

I cleaned and regreased mine without removing a single bolt. It used to skip around on the rail like it was having mad friction issues. Nice and smooth now .

Moonroof models tend to weigh around 100-150 lbs or more than non moonroof models...including the unit itself and the structural reinforcements that have to be made as a result

okay well the EG LX sedan weighs 2319 and the EX sedan weighs 2520...so with the A/C (75 lbs) and then wheels (maybe like 10 lbs) you still have over 100 lbs to play with...so its gotta be going somewhere...

I just replaced my cable system back in late november/december....what a pain in the *** (Id say it weights around 80lbs total for the frame, glass, cable, motor, track)
To even get to the frame, youve got to remove the entire headliner (duh) and to to that you need to remove some of the side panels...and to do that you need to remove the seats...God Im never doing it again...
(If you do take it all apart to get to the motor/frame/rails have a buddy help you take it down or else youre going to have a hard time
