that header will not clear the cross member... you need to hack it or bash it.

nice install...

I had those DC 4-1 headers on my first LS motor before.

The front stock CM was hacked and welded so the header clears.

IMO this is not the best header to get due to clearance issues. It just hangs too low on a EF.

Love the painted tranny man.

I think it IS the best header or the dollar I shaved 3thns of my 1/4 after I installed it........ but it hangs low on the EF's mine is pretty fucked up but still running in the 12's Rob

yes i built this motor all together it prolly cost me close to 5 grand... bottom end built

MODS:

ctr pistons
block guard
8.8pound fly wheel
ctr crank pulley
exedy stage 1 clutch kit
MSD
avid mounts
ls-vtec oil line
skunk 2 intake manifold
dc 4-1 header
studded
Hasport shiftlinkage
Then pretty much bought all new seals/ washers
i may be leaving some stuff that i cant think of

You do have to cut out front CM to make header fit i can get pics if you would like. avid mounts there alright lotta vibration in the car.. rear mount doesnt wanna fit proper its a lil too tight, im going to get hasport mounts. Got ls bottom end with GSR head, no head work yet.. soon though. i am up grading from a D15 LOL i think my motor now, pulls harder in 5 then it did in 1st with the D15 its nice i love it. about my suspension before i was tuckin my si wheels front an back and the header had about an inch from the ground so i will polly just do a 1.5-1.7 inch drop. Any other questions fell free to ask..

nice job man!

soon ill be selling my 98 Gsr bottom end. And building something similar but different. Im thinking send it off to earl, get it sleeved, bore it to 84mm. Eagle rods, Aries pistons. Micropolished crank. APR everywhere. Then mate it to my CTR cylinder head ive got on now. Big cams, big valves. Then some hondata. And replace my jdm j1 tranny with a 98 ITR one and go hydraulic..

Untill then my Setup on a 75shot is good enough.

You should run at Rockfalls Raceway the 19th, damn I wanna see that thing in action. My cousin's buddy has an LSvtec in his 96 Lx 4dr and ran best on street tires of 14.5. Makes me wanna go LSvtec.

Hey if you use a stock header willl it clear the crossmember?? Or is there no way around hacking the front crossmember?

Not intended to jack the thread.

Nice setup by the way looks smooth.
