One of my friends told me that with the wider tires as opposed to stock with the new wheels im buyin that they'll stick out too much and look weird unless if you have some type of body kit or fender to make it look better. Sounds like a bunch of bs to me but i cant be 100% sure either.......

 

it is bs all you have to do is make sure ther not to "deep" but the 205 /40/17 i have on now are perfect and do not stick out at all of course thats a 98 acc. cp

 

205s will look good on there. I got 215/40/17s on mine, and the rims stick out a lil bit. It will look good either way, I just wanted something wider.

 

I had orignally 205/40's on my 17's then went to 215/40's - they both will work fine.

 

yeah as long as they arent "deep" rims i had 100spokes on my dropped '92 and i even got pulled over for them, sold them . I still have 17's just not deep

 

i got 215/45/17's on my 4th gen, and it sticks out ever so slightly.

 

215/45/17 is where it's at...wouldn't ever go with less...

 

205/40 is too small

 

i have 205/45/17, i wouldnt go with the 40's especially for everday driving, they will be fucked up if you hit the slightest bump or pot hole,the 45's are still a low profile tire and look good

 

205/40/17 is just too small for an accord that's the size you would put on a civic i would go at least 215/40 and your friend is telling you bs get the correct offset of +40 or 45 I think and they won't stick out

 

What about 225/45-17s on an Accord?
