Anyone know the amperage of a '97 CRV stock alternator. Even an approximate number? I'm putting in a pretty good sized audio system and I'm not sure the alternator will handle it very well. Anybody else put a system on the stock alternator and have problems/no problems? Thanks Guys.

 

90A for the manual and 95A for the automatic.

 

I talked to somebody from Corporate Honda's tech center. They said the alternator is designed to produce 100A at 12V, but the actual measured readings on it are usually about 95A, just like you said. Thanks for the help DaiJekBok.

 

No problem. For what it's worth, the service manual states those outputs are at 13.5V, hot, and 6000 alternator RPM.
