Default What Rod Bearings fit my car?

I am really confused at this point.

Im ordering piston set and Eagle Rods within the next week or so.

All I need to know is what bearings to use? I want to go ACL because I don't get what this color code and clearance thing is. I heard ACL is one size fit or something.

My car = 2000 Integra GS-R

If this 2000 gsr motor didn't spin a bearing or **** up the crank journals and/or your just doing a rebuild on it to put stronger components in, the acl's would work perfect for ya and stay within spec considering it did have either of the two symptoms I listed above.

The Acl's are just generic bearing sizes (not generic bearings) that seem to work pretty well when your rebuilding a motor with an alright amount of miles on it and with good undamaged or ungrounded crank journals.
So just order a set of acl's from (earl or rocket) use the plastigauge to check the clearance with, compare the clearances with the book and if everything specs out under the manufacturers recommended limit, your good to go.

If this is not the case than you have to start buying individual bearings for whatever journal is out of spec from honda.

I didn't spin a bearing or anything, infact their perfectly fine.

Im doing a engine rebuild because I blew a ring. Im just wondering what ACL bearings I need.

I havent pulled the block apart yet. I just need to know what bearing size, I thought there was a exact size for every model or car? Didn't think I would have to measure it

You can use ACLs but don't think you can just put them on without measuring the clearances. Your just asking for trouble if you do. If you clearances are too tight you run the risk of oil starvation. If they are too loose you run the risk of spinning a bearing. Pickup a Helms manual some plastigauge and do that **** right. Its really not that hard.

Good Luck

Im having a shop do all the work, so your saying pull my block out and measure the clearance and then buy the ACL bearings.

Or can I buy the ACL bearings then give it to a shop and let them handle it.

This should give you a idea of the whole process.
