ok tonight i met a bunch of my friends out and we set up a couple of race and i have a 90 crx with a b16 and i raced a dodge srt-4 and he beat me by 5 car lengths...it probably would have been more but i slowed...ok in the quarter mile i seen their times being 13.9 or 14.0 ok my buddy with my same swap ran a 14.2 or 3 in the quarter...so how did that happen??

2nd race the new scion tc..has 160 hp..like me but i am WAY lighter...he takes off from a 40 punch or so and he takes off before me but we race to 100+ and i never caught up!..he wasnt pulling away but i wasnt gaining either!!

3rd race a gsr with just a header that runs 9.4 in the 1/8..which is what i run 9.4 icould hit 9.2 perfect.... we raced from a 50 punch and he pulled on me hard

what is the deal?!?!?

i havent taken mine to the track..i am this thursday..but i base my times on my friend who has the same swap 9.3 average in the 1/8 and 14.2 in the 1/2

i am not throwing any codes and i do not have a miss or anything my car idles real good and vtec hits hard there has to be something wrong tho

Have you been on this board before? Do you have any idea how hard some people are going to come down on you for street racing?

Stop street racing, seriously. Read the FAQ at the top of the page, and start looking SERIOUSLY into legitimate forms of motorsport. It is much more fulfilling and safer to race in an autocross or do to a track day than it is to street race, deserted road or not.

EDIT: Oh yeah, IBTL, but I'm hoping this guy actually has a revelation and the thread ends with a happy ending. Not holding my breath though.

Which is a public road correct? Which makes it street racing!


Plus, most of the people in here are into roadracing! Hence the title of the forum! With that said, you probably wont get much help from people who take it to the track!

And last, there is not any real way to help you with the info you provided. Yeah, your car was just as fast as the scion, and slower than a GSR from a roll on. That sounds pretty normal to me!

street racing = st00pid head!

Deserted, as in, no cars around, as in, no safety workers, no emergency medical personnel, as in, you crash into one of the other cars you are racing against, you are in a serious world of hurt.

hehe. I do it both on track and on street. when street means going down twisties up hill. some "civic club" activities actually. Not really racing but we could go fast sometimes, especially when u got new stuff installed and cant wait for saturday.

But again.. better not doing it too often, as its illegal and dangerous..
