There all about the same. Depends on brand preference. I personally prefer injen.

aem or injen would probably give you more hp because they are cai. The comptech replaces the stock air box instead of being down in the wheel well. i personally am going for the ice box because of its look and the fact that you dont have to worry about water.

Personally you should go with the cai because you will gain hp and it sounds a lot better when you get to higher rpms... and another thing water is a an issue but if you spend a little bit more to get the water bypass then you are good to go.
AEM CAI =

Comptech . I chose Comptech because it has no losses anywhere along the power band. My Comptech Ice Box is on its way to my house. Stupid Fed Ex tracking

aem power! Friend has it on his type s. He loves it. He bought the mugen airbox for 6 something brand new, and dyno'd higher with his aem cai! He also has a cat back comptech exhaust. Puts out a Nice Deep sound with aem and comptech. Especialy when vtec engages aem cold air all the way!

The AEM cold air was designed for power. Mugen stuff is designed to be functional yet make good power. With mugen stuff you aren't going to have to worry about something going wrong as long as you install it correctly. I had a mugen TL and it was nice. best quality. for mugen.

if money isn't an issue, buy MUGEN.

CRAZY NICE RESPONSE. but given those choices, i'd go with the comptech ice box.

Would a CAI perform better with hondata reflash than comptech/mugen?

Yes, the cai will be better...as the flash programming was tuned with a cai in mind.

depends on the weather. If you have to deal with lots of rain + winter then go with comptech or another short ram like the AEM V2. But for better power go CAI (Injen).

Anyone know if AEM's air bypass for their CAI's work if the cone is submerged in water completely?

my vote goes for the comptech. will be getting 1 before the end of this year. wanna join a comptech GB? $265. highly recommended by the k-series bubbas, since it does produce power and completely carb legal.
