how bad is this for the engine???
i did a compression test on my accord today ( '92 lx..f22a1) this is what i got: #1 190 #2 190 #3 185 #4 190 but i have alot of oil in #2 & #4 and a little bit in #3 when i take the plugs out there was oil on the bottom of the plugs. so can someone tell me what the problem and solution is? what have i done to the engine(it's stock with 168'xxx miles on it) help
compression is high due to carbon buildup....normal with that many miles. the oil is do to bad spark plug seals...buy a new valve cover gasket set and new seals will come with it...simply go around the spark plug tube where the valve cover part of the tube meets the part of the tube on the head. there are also spark plug seals on the bottom of the tube underneath the rocker-arm assembly....mine are bad on my f22b2...been too lazy to fix it. change the upper ones first to see if that fixes the problem...and good luck
He's right about the spark plug seals. Buy them and problem solved. A 5 pt variance in compression is nothing.
naaa...i wont hurt anything....you should get it fixed...but its not gonna kill you or your engine
6 months with oil in my tubes <=== im a lazy bitch

This might scare you but, there the a chance that you have a worn piston ring which will lower the compression and allow oil into the engine.

Sounds good to me as far as the numbers go. Remember, you only have about 2.5 - 3% variation, which is very good.
The leaky oil isn't that big of a deal. Check the ceramic on the spark plugs. You can tell if it is leaking from the valve cover rings by the staining on the ceramic. That is a common problem that doesn't affect the performance of the engine at all.
