Well, all these damn meets and my recent apprearance back on this Stunna lounge got me thinking about the R. I had her for exactly 2 years. Time line from start to finish. Imma include some pics from old meets that i did.

damn sorry about your R... What did u hit?

 

i was going faster than i should have been (80mph-ish ) and when someone shot off the exit ramp onto the highway, i pulled out and ended up losing the car's tail cause of the ice on the highway ( accident was on 12-27-03 )

I lifted too much and my rear tires were having a hard time trying to follow my front ones.

Center median owned me

 

Nice timeline. You don't look too upset in those pics...I'd be crying.

Hahahahahahahaha, i was just happy i was ok. I had one of my guys with me too, that was a near close call. Good driving position helped a lot with the whiplash too.

Sitting 90 degrees up, steering wheel positioned perfectly for my long arms (with arms fully extended, wheel should be touching wrists), legs distanced good for good pedal control ( with leg fully extended, i can push pedals down as far as they go )

It was scary and sad, The R's final payment was made that week. Major bummer but life in my hands is A-******-O-K, I think she's gonna make a return real soon,

Another reason why the damage was so bad was cause of the BUMPER REINFORCEMENT BAR.

The US Re-Bar is about 3 inches across, the JDM one is about an inch. here's the comparison-

USDM looks like this - THE BIG YELLOW BAR IN THE FRONT -


JDM looks like this - The little BLACK BAR IN FRONT- So much for crash protection-

The big bar you're referring to is often called a "5mph bar". Its not meant to take crashes in excessive speed. My friend had similar damage in a highway accident and it was about as extensive (pushed back and up) as yours, he was going around 70 however didnt hit a wall, but still had extensive frame damage.

i feel your pain brother wrecked my **** a lil after getting the jdm conversion painted.
insurance is paying me the mugen front bumper to go with my hood and maybe a c&r radiator so ill come out ok i guess, but your probably feel just like i do... like ****!

 

I just woke up at 3pm and im still wondering why i have a hickey on my neck but no one came home with me??

Anyways, i appreciate that ****, its been a long time but luckily there's no frame damage, (atleast i don't think so) but i miss her a lot. I think the time is near for another ITR, i got the S2k cause summer was coming up but i failed to realize that the car was not practical for summer. my stupid *** just wants to dump money into the S2k to make her just as fast as the R was but i realized i was just wasting my time. Im kinda stuck on what to do about the car. I need a new pressure plate and i gotta get the car outta the body shop. New R or repair Old R? the R's got about 58k on there now. She only got to live half the life.


Im so god damn hung over right now i can barely see ****. im typing with my eyes closed
