I got a 2002 Honda Civic LX and to get the car stopped you really got to press hard on the brakes... and the rotors and pads are fine... could it be the braking fluid... but the braking fluid container is half full... can anyone help please?

 

bleed the brakes sooooon there is most likly air in the lines...bad bad news but easily and cheapily fixed go get a quart of brake fluid for 4 bucks and bleed that bitch!

 

Okay thanks man... another thing is that the brakes give no effect till they are basically pushed down like 3/4 of the way... like if you tap on the brakes there is no effect..

 

yep you gotta bleed the system and add more brake fluid.
