D15B should bolt right in with an MPFI swap... I'd go with an Si tranny though.

My gf wants a CRX with a b-series engine but it has to be auto. Blah not much info on such swaps.

If you don't wanna do all that you better teach her how to drive with a manual tranny.

Go ahead and either wire the harness for OBD1, or get a conversion harness. Thats the only way to get VTECs full potential.

What swap would be best? What does she want to do with it? Daily driver, but wants it to go when she gets on it? D15B would probably be the best, if not the D16Z6. I wouldn't do a mini-me for a daily driver unless the block was near perfect. Just something about all of that pieced together Mickey Mouse crap. Z6 would be easier to get, and in most cases cheaper than the D15B...

Also, something to think about, JDM engines (D15B) have been sitting in warehouses for a few years... Gaskets go bad, seals go bad... I've replaced the rear main seal, valve cover gasket, cam seals, and head gasket on my ZC because they were ALL leaking. If you could get a Z6 out of an EX/Si that was rear ended or something it would be a lot better.
