has anyone done this:

Gsr head with crv b20 block.
gsr crankshaft, and crv pistons.

what's the compression? and how much power gain will this do? i was thinking maybe this can be an alternative to boring out the gsr block. how would this be compared to lsvtec? is it worth going ls vtec if i already have a gsr?

 

Why don't you just build up your GSR motor. Is there anything wrong with it? The money spent doing what you are talking about would be money better spent on your
GSR motor, assuming that it is in good condition. There are many options available to you for the GSR; i/h/e/, pistons, cams, head work and everyone's favorite... Boost.

It is not worth going LSVTEC, you are already there.

For crv there are two sets of pistons
b20b are the earlier ones at about 8.8:1
and b20z are newer they are closer to 10:1 or somewhere around there

 

i have a gsr head 1993 and a b20b crv block when the car came out of the shop they told me i had like 195 hp don't know if is true but i can smoke gsr, and si with my set up

what tranny are you using? i have the same setup stock but with an si head and i ******* lose to my friends si and he is mostly stock.. but im using a ls so maybe its making me slow
