Default Jackson Racing roots style supercharger

I just bought a 97 Prelude SH. Its a great car but im looking at the JR roots style supercharger to give it more torque as it doesnt really have enough. Has anyone done this at all? is there any fabrication that needs to get done or is it a straight drop in? Let me know what you all think.

I have searched and have seen dyno specs but I havent been able to read anyones personal opinion if this is worth it, is there any difficulties with the reliability of the engine and supercharger. My h22a is stock and there really isnt much you can do with these to add more torque without spending 10K on the engine. If there is anyone that could give me any positive/negative feedback, that would be great!

worth it. a few small problems i've seen a couple ludes including my own have had is that the outer pulley on the jackshaft assembly tends to rub against the collar on the shock tower. you could solve that problem by filing that spot away, putting in some 30 dollar engine mount inserts from energy susp....

I want to get the JR Supercharger too. I have found it as low as $2,995 but thats about it.
Also, i notice that it mounts to sort of a half intake manifold, does that come with the kit?

i changed to motivation's 9 lb pulley. i've noticed that if i dont change the charger belt often enough, it wont hold tension for the full 9lbs, it'll start slipping around 7 or 8, so it has to be adjusted and retensioned pretty often.

how often is pretty often? i'd really like to get the superchager, and my only worry is the belt maintainence. was it much better with the stock 6lb pulley?

Good question about the belt tension at 9lbs, i would like to know too. Also what is the life of each one of those belts, even though they are only like $10...

I have roughly 5K miles on my current belt, it's still in excellent condition, and I haven't adjusted it once since it was put on. Still nice and tight. BTW, I use the stock 6lb pulley that comes with the kit.

with the 6lb pulley, ive seen people re-tension or replace the belt every 5-10k depending on who you ask. retensioning is really quick and simple...a minute of your time, replacing it is easy too. With the 9lb pulley, I had gotten a new belt put on in preparation for a dyno day two weeks down the road...when it came to dyno day...it was already slipping at 7.5 lbs and had to be retensioned...so thats pretty often for you. What I did learn was that the normal belts I used stretched out a lot easier. I spent a couple bucks more for a Gatorback belt and its lasting a lot longer.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but does the JRSC fit in a 5th gen Accord with an H22A? I know that the Prelude has a larger engine bay, as the firewall is recessed a little more than the accord's....

in all honesty, i dont know about the ATTS and the JRSC. Im not really sure what kind of engine management comes with their kit, but i dont think it accommodates the ATTS.

Shark, are you on a base model or an SH ? Anyone have any input on this?

EDIT: Nevermind, type SH dont come in sport shift.

The SH ATTS System stops running at about 225hp. Ive looked into switching to an LSD but havent found that much info on it. Ive also heard that you can just disable the ATTS on the SH. SH doesnt come with the sport shift....why would you want the sportshift anyways?
