let me guess....h3 bulbs? Those are made for fog lights...not main units. You cant really upgrade.
SO
Good idea: Get rid of the shitty lights and put your stock set back on.
That or buy some aux lights

Says who? Maybe for you, but they will be a lot brighter than "Angel Eyes" wannabe BMW units. Unless you mate those "Angel Eyes" with some HID units, they'll always be:
A) Dim.
B) Ricer Hyperwhite approved.
C) Ugly colored.
D) Ugly.
E) All of the above.

Well, at you least you wouldn't be complaining about not being able to see if you still had the OEM headlights, right?
And anyway, make sure your headlights are aligned properly. I've driven at night with improperly aligned headlights, and it definitely sucks. I literally couldn't see like three feet in front of my car.
So if yours are adjustable, make sure they're adjusted correctly.

You didn't unbolt that 'white pack' near the headlight harness off the chassis, did you?
I did that once and my stock headlights become super dim. Thats when I figured that 'white pack' had to be connected to the chassis to be grounded.

in not saying im a fan of your angel eyes, but if its your style do your thing. i give props to people who do THEIR car the way they want. everyone has an opinion. i would be sure that all your connections are the way their supposed to be. ive had the same problems on my buddys 2000 accord with aftermarket projectors and it was just the connection wasnt making full contact. you might also think about the headlight harness upgrade from place like, dare i say, apc. this is a good harness upgrade and worth a try. also some quality bulbs. the bulbs that come in those kits are very cheap. so once again. its your car. just because its not "jdm" approved doesnt mean it cant be on your car. good luck man
Just to let you know Angel eyes lights go out about every 3 months and the hyperwhite bulbs they make dont change anything, save up and buy some TYC one piece headlights the are similar, there accually DOT approved here in TX.
anythign projector style ISNT a UPGRADE -- its only really a upgrade for looks.. pretty much
-- if u wanna be able to actaually see @ nite.. pik up some nice driving/fog lites.
yeah hey --
if yoru leavin tha Angel eyes to tha BMW'z -- ive got a set of these for sale...

Actually, you're quite wrong. A truck ran over the front end of my Civic last year, right around the time the TYC one-peice projectors came out. They were cheaper than stock and gave the front end an updated kind of look. Surprisingly, they have an excellent cutoff and are MUCH better than the OEM units as far as putting lots of light on the road.

Had some with the OEM lights and they really don't help **** as far as visibility on a lowered car. I still have them with the TYC units, but you don't really notice them unless there's actually fog on the ground.
In closing, get your *** off the bandwagon, think for yourself instead of repeating what other members have said (especially when you have no first-hand experience) and read up on lighting before you make any further incorrect judgements.
As to the originator of this thread, put your stockers back in simply to see if they are dim as well. If they are, you know you have a loose wire or a bad ground or something of the sort on the car-side of the equation. Once you've got that nailed down, put whatever lights you want to on your Honda: no one with any taste gives a **** what some kid with a Civic decides to use as lighting.

clean a spot to mount the grounds.
mine did the same thing had a bad ground. clean a good spot on the frame and ground them good. will make a world of differance.

you have what i call, and acquired taste if you think some aftermarket angel eye projectors are more appealing than OEM. but hey to each their own so i'm not going to rip on you... any more.
but consider this... what would be uglier? OEM headlights or smashed up angel eye projectors and needing a new front clip cause you couldn't see at night?
check out your connections and grounds.
