What exactly would i need to get to run 10-12 pounds safe on stock internals. I am thinking bigger injectos (not sure on size), AFC-R, possibly bigger head gasket, and what else? Is it possible? Right now im at 6 and im not sure if its safe to put up. Also if i got a AFC now whats the best way to set it up. I am totally not aware of how to work them.
some good tuning...i would be scared to go without something like hondata....good ignition and fuel control is essential
That boost level is fine with good tuning. I would get a standalone for that boost level on stock internals if you care about the engine much. I personally plan to use a Hondata Stage 2B on a D16 and run 10PSI daily until I am too used to it. After that happens we'll do a GM 3 Bar MAP sensor upgrade and see how much fun we can have then!!!
You are going to have to have like the perfect fuel setup on that ride for that many pounds, recommend 6 daily, 10 max dude, unless you or someone you know can tune like a bad motha.
I think Im pushing it myself. I have stock internals and boosts 11.5psi. With the right tuning and fuel set up (like what everyone else on the thread stated), it should be fine, but don't know how long it will hold.
I've had this setup for a year and a half. My first motor went, cracked ring lands, and this second stock motor is holding up well.
