Due to insufficient demand, the Elda Engineering Roll Bar for the S2K will no longer be offered, for now. I talked to Wael(Elda owner) yesterday and he explained to me that there just was not enough interest from buyers. In order to be cost effective for Elda, they are manufactured in batches only after receiving a certain amount of willing buyers.

He did say that the decision halt in production of the roll bar and his C/F dash bezel wasn't final. Elda is seeking a better way to find interest buyers and a better way to sell these parts. When more interested buyers are obtained, then the decision would definitely be reconsidered.

I am disappointed because I didn't jump on the Elda bar when I had the chance. I know more than a few S2K owners feel the same way and wanted this roll bar, t00!

that was the bar i planned on getting. it's better than the cusco bar that doesnt do jack. this is craptacular news.

Me too, that's why I called Elda as soon as I found out. I was told the bad news as soon I asked Wael about the roll bar.

Maybe the S2K owners who are interested can keep e-mailing him to let him know we are still interested?

it's a $$$ thing. Too expensive or not enough profit to make them one by one, more cost effective to make them in large batches. Also, not a surprise since the s2000 isn't a mass produced car. Guys, don't let this disappoint you too much, you have other options out there and can go with a custom fabricated bar.

whats out there that would be solo 1 and 2 approved?

you can have the rulebooks with you when talking to difference fabricators to build you one to spec. It's not hard.

Speaking of fabricators, I have one that is willing to build a roll bar for my S2K right now. I just have to work out the logistics of it all.
