Default two questions within one post(hid's and steering wheel)

ok my first question is, kinda noobish i suppose..

i have a jdm front end with non hid headlights..at my friends shop there is hid headlights (off jdm front end), the hid headlights are scratched, so i am wondering can i use the hid kit off the scratched headlights with my non hid headlights?

question 2

at the same shop, they have the jdm rsx-r steering wheel, can i use that on my dc2 by getting a momo hub or a different one?

As far as changing the headlights.....I would have to say that would be a pain in the ***. If you put the ballasts into a non-hid housing the pattern will be all fucked up because you don't have the correct HID projector in there. If you look at the HID one you will notice the glass ball is smaller to focus the light.

If you somehow could get the glass ***** in there as well as the ballasts then u might have something. Otherwwise it will look no better than any regular off the shelf hid kit in a halogen housing.

and as far as the wheel i am almost positive it fits EK, but to make itfit out car would require swapping and or modifying the hub.

hmmm thanks...you think there is a way to buff out the scratches on the hid headlights, one is fine the other has some deep scratches from when it was in the crate being shipped over...

also..when you say switching hubs..are you meaning a ek hub or aftermarket dc hub?

To get the scratches out of your PLASTIC headlights:

use sandpaper with grit up to 2000, i used 1500. Wet sand the headlight completely until scratches can no loner be seen.

Use "3M Final Stage" and Buff it on gradually. Your headlights should come out crystal clear.

I have NON-HID JDM Lights w/ Hella HID's in them and it looks great!
I still need to aim up a bit but the beam pattern is pretty damn good. The same as Stock USDM Lights w/ same HID's in them @least

Although I;m sure they aren't as good lookin "Pattern" wise as Stock JDM Projectors "Beam" wise...but I'm pleased. You gotta have HID beams next to that Yellow Fog light. It like PB&J. Great Combo!
