Need help......B18B going into 98 hatch
well comparing the b16a2 and b18b2 i have made the decistion to go with the 1.8L and save the extra 700.00-1000.00 for a turbo. The shop quoted me 1800.00 for the swap plus 700-800 in labor. I was trying to see if i could find the swap maybe cheaper. Any good sites that have COMPLETE change over becides HMO.com b/c they are overpriced. If i got the longblock what else do i need. The tranny, what axles?, and waht mounts?
I still think thats to much. Ive seen gsr swaps for around 2200 and i put my own swaps in its not hard. If you get a swap I will put it in for you for 300 and you can help if you want and maybe learn something. HEH, you can also have a ride in my car anytime you want if you wanna feel how it pulls

You use almost everything from the motor your putting in. So say your putting a b18b in your car you use any b-series axlex and mounts. They are all interchangable between 92-00. If you are ordering a swap go from import auto salavge they are more expensive ,but they have the cleanest swaps you can get or buy one local. Yeah ls motor is a great motor to boost if you plan on going that root, but i just see alot of ppl selling boosted b18b motors to get itr's you wil run about the same times with itr as with a turbo b18b

check the classifides here man
my friend just found someone wanting a stock hatcback engine and 500 bucks for a b18b swap
so he paid the 500 bucks, and we installed it for free. came with a brand new ACT clutch and an extra LS tranny that had some grinds.
good mother funking deal

i did a swap on my 00 civic and i have a b20b...i used most of the 99 Si parts as in:
- Si Axles (reason why i say Si is i found out that it about a 1" or 1 1/2" longer then Teg Axles...i bought GSR first at O'Reilly and had to return them and get Si..."Passenger side axle was longer")
- Si Front Tranny Mount
- Si Rear Mount
- Si Shift Linkage
- Si A/C Bracket
- you will need a B-series Throttle Cable or Mod your own bracket
- any B-series Intermediate Shaft
