My friend has a motor for me with tranny (motor has 16k miles) for 1,000 bucks. Im gonna try to get it for like 900. Im gonna get a ECU from a junk yard and i know i need a OBD1 to OBD2 conversion. What else do i need? Can i use my stock mounts n axles? some peopel say yes some say no. If it will work for now just say yes. Also what should i expect to pay for labor. Please help, all help is appreciated.

$1000 is kinda steep for a LS motor.

As far as I know, you can't use your stock mounts and axles if you're pulling a D-series from your car. Gonna need new mounts from an Integra I think, new axles, shiftlinkage, not sure on ECU, get a chipped one from Kenji and forget about the OBD mess.

Expect to pay like $50/hr at a shop, totalling anywhere from $600-1200. If you're mechanically inclined at all and have a dry warm place to do it, try doing it yourself. It isn't that hard. It works out well if you have a car to drive during downtime, cause you can take your time and learn alot about your car in the process.

Heres a thread Tom (B18C5-EH2) made about doing a swap;
