Default Transplanting into my 75 Civic. Budget, simplicity.

I can pick up a D15 B7 for around $100. Would it be worth my money to just wait and get an affordable ZC? I know its all about the B's, but like I mentioned, simplicity is important to my time and budget, as my 75 axles will slip right in. I dont need 200hp, but anything better than my 53hp will make a world of difference. New to the Honda world, so I apologize for the honda ignorance.
Hoping to turbo after a rebuild and reinforce.

civic1200.com

swapping a D into ur car requires a lot of work. ive been reading up the *** about swaps for these cars. u got lucky.

u can swap in a motor from the older accords. late 70s early 80s or get a motor from the 2nd gen civics. that site has a lot more info though. is urs a cvcc or a 1200. i just picked up a 77 cvcc. fun car.

I am on civic1200 all the time. I have been researching the process. With alot of fabbing and determination I think a D will be awesome. I have a 75 CVCC. 4 sp., all original. Starting a 4x100 hub swap so I can actually have a choice in wheels. Upgrading to later model discs, calipers and knuckles. All custom composite carbon and fiberglass interior planned. 1750lbs. and dropping.
Anyone in San Diego want to help )

I had a 79 civic 1200 and looked into a swap and a d series was the route i was goign to go but i lost interest/funding and moved on with my life.

my 1200 put down a whopping 57whp and 61 ft pds of torque with the junk done to it but after toying with it time and time again i wanted to do away with the weber and go fuel injected.

i forget all the details on axles and mounts and so forth but i'm sure you probably know most of what will fit already. i do remember that after looking into it, a d swap from the right year civic is quite attainable and isn't all that complicated... just time consuming...

a b swap would be a complete PITA and require quite a bit more fabricationa nd practically a tube framed front end.

-Erik <--- remembers soemthing about having to notch or bang in part of the driver side fram to fit the alternator pulley... i think....

Default D series

It will be in by end of year. Wondering if getting a cheap D15B7 is worth it, in being hopeful to get 150hp down the road. Can someone tell me the main differences between the D15 and 16. Besides the obvious. And can I swap on a Vtec head on a D15/16? I would prefer a JDM ZC.
Can a Vtec head give another 20hp?

thanks ahead, very helpful.
