Default got some questions on using a 99+ JDM ITR/CTR ECU on a 2000 civic SI

well i know the 2000 civic SI ECU is ran on a p2t ECU stock.

i really wanna take out the secondary o2 sensor on the motor

my question is would using a 99 and up ITR/CTR ECU remove the secondary o2 sensor.

kinda hard to explain but i know that the JDM motors are ran only on one o2 sensor so the ECU should work right? cause i put on a JDM ITR header on my friends SI and now it throws the code for the secondary o2 sensor and it really bugs so we wanna remove it.

sorry but i only have experience with obd1 setups rather than obd2

thanks

Yes.

Yes, the ECU will work, but you're going to need an OBD2b -> OBD2a jumper harness if you don't want a major wiring headache. The 99-00 Si wiring harness has OBD2b plugs on it and the 99+ P73 ECU accepts only OBD2a plugs. E-mail katman@ff-squad.com for more info. on the jumper harness.
