YS1 cable tranny
What is this worth? He wants $650.
Freshly rebuilt cable YS1 trans. - All new seals and bearings. Everything all greased and ready to go. Rebuilt by an ASE Certified Mechanic, not some playa down the street. Perfect condition.
Is he asking too much? What would you pay?

I am running a GSR YS1 that I rebuilt myself, and I can tell you that $650 for a freshly rebuilt one is well worth the money he is asking for. If it is the LS YS1, then I wouldnt even get close to paying that much for it.
I dont think it really matters if it is rebuilt by an ASE certified tech or by some chump down the street that does it out of their garage (like me). It is the quality of the work, not who does it.
If you get the receipts from honda/acura that say what part numbers were used (only applies to actual gears or gear sets) then I can tell you if it is an LS or GSR tranny.

It could very well be, and very likely, that it is the LS YS1. Make him specify in writing or something, that way u can get a refund if it aint the GSR one.
