VFR800 VTEC?
Just curious... I picked up a copy of Cycle World's 2002 new bikes issue because they had the VFR800 VTEC on the cover. How long has Honda had VTEC on a bike? The issue was woefully skimpy on details - basically had a picture of the VFR and said "here it is." I was bitter...
Any other models use it?

some of their 80s bikes had a an early VTEC system, but nohing liek the cars. Even now, the VTEC isnt like the cars. Its a slower and more gradual crossover and it operates at a different RPM. They call it Hyper VTEC. But this is the fist bike to have the VTEC name on it.
It is supposed to be like vtec-e if am not mistaken. At lower revs only half of the intake valves are supposed to open up, then at higher revs all will open.
According to motorcyclist, vtec is supposed to be implemented in the 2003 lineup, which includes the 600 and 954.
