1990 Civic Hatch STD

When it rains the car leaks inside but the where it leaks it puzzling me. Everytime it rains there is standing water on the floor behind the drivers seat. The water is isolated to that area. The carpet is not wet anywhere else and there are no signs of leakage at the windows. Anyone have any ideas?

How are all the door seals? Are the rubber seals around the door all clipped in?

If they are, then I'd check the floorboard to see if there are any holes. I had an old Volvo that did this. Does the floor get wet when it's just parked or after you drive in the rain? If it's after you drive, then I'd have to say the floorboard.

 

IT"S THE HATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had the same problem with mine but the rear interior was gutted so it was easy to spot. i would get a nice little pool to play and splash in when it rained, ya it sucked because my car sat for like a month while i was buliding it with the pool, it smelled for weeks until some lady decided to pull in front of me taking my crx with it.

I have a 1990 Civic STD hatchback as well and I've never seen this problem.
