timing belt came off while driving

Default timing belt came off while driving

i was driving normal to work when a metal bracket flew into my timing belt breaking my cam gear and shattering my valve cover. i got new cam gears timing belt and valve cover. now my question is waht other possible damage couldd occur? and how would i go about fixing it?

Well, have you ran the engine since replacing all of this stuff?

You could have seriously fucked up your engine.

no the engine hasnt been started since that happened just got in teh cam gears and waiting for the timing belt to come. havent even tried cranking it

you need to pull the head to see if you bent or broke any valves.

there are a few alternatives to pulling the head, you could put the belt on there and hope for the best. Or do a compression and/or leakdown test to see if any valves were bent. However if you did break some valves, you could damage the cyl. walls/pistons using these methods.

The chances you bent some valves are pretty high and the head will obviously have to be pulled anyway. I would just pull the head.

assuming the valves are bent ill have to rebuild. what stuff will i need. i want to run 15 pounds of boost daily.. currently only running 7
