Default Replacing rod bearings

I will soon be doing h23vtec and want to replace the piston rings. while im at it im thinking about replacing the bearings. I was wondering if anyone had some instructions on this and where to buy bearings? I was thinking it would be nice to rev higher with the h22 head so maybe some beefyer bearings would be good. What all has to be done to do that. Thanks

So oem is the way to go sounds good to me. Now does anyone have any links or can explain how I would go about changing them? Do I need any special tools?

For main bearings your going to need to tear the block down and get the apropriate bearing codes from the crank/block...

As for tools... Make sure you have a good torque wrench and a good set of sockets... I like using Craftsman wrenches/wrachets with Snap On sockets...

Other than that, just get a helms manual and follow the directions step by step...

I disagree; there are other bearing manufacturers that are just as good; you just can't be AS choosey about the clearances.

ACL's are some great bearings.

ACL = Honda Green

Theres no such thing as a one size fits all bearing...

I know 3 people that used ACL's... 2 of them ended up having to go and buy a couple OEM bearings to finish the build...

Ive heard of some people using them with success but IMO, why bother... Your clearances are all going to be a bit more +/- than they would be when using exactly what the block/crank ask for...

And were only talking a difference of like $20...
