does your car overheat? when you are sitting still in traffic does the temp needle climb till it maxes out?
More than likely the fan does kick on you just don't notice.

if you really want to wire up a switch, run 12volts to the positive wire that runs to the fan motor. There's only two wires that run to it and one is ground.

if you follow the bottom radiator hose line it will come to where the thermostat is and on the houseing their should be a sensore comeing out and all you have to do is to have the 2 wires jumped together to activate the fan either you can use a tap splice and it will be on all the time or you can run it to a switch so you can turn it on when you want

on my autometer water temp gauge my fan does come on until about 210 degrees.
it normally runs around 180. then i changed my fluid and put a bottle of water wetter in it and it stays around 180 to 190 degrees sitting in traffic.

now it will still go up after awhile when it is hot as hell and you are stuck in interstate traffic. then the fan will come on.

did you try jumping the 2 wires to see if it was the fan?

I jumped the two wires together using the outlets in the green plug (the part that mates up to the thermo switch on the thermo housing) using a switch. This way I can turn the fan on/off as I chose rather than just having it on all the time.

Does anyone know the correct gauge of wire I should be running?
