Default UPS lost package!!! Has this happend 2 you?

Ok so I sold a turbo manifold to xhatchx and shipped it via UPS like I always do. He tells me after like a week and a half that he still hasn't recieved it! So I check the track and it says that it was delivered to his house on the 16th. So I put a trace on it at the ups store today, I guess they retrace their steps and see where they went wrong. If they dont find it I have to file a claim against them, have any of you had to do this and know how long the process takes, I would like to know worst case how long it is going to take to get this settled. Thanks

maybe the guy who you sold it to is lying and is just trying to rip you off. Also this is off topic but you work at WCI in PVille? Did you move locations or what. Cuz I went there one time and the place was empty. I had a 97 eclipse get some coilovers put on over there.

uhh WCI is the seller in this situation. read up ricer. WCI call ups and ask them, it usually takes a couple weeks for them to do the investigation. Could take 2, 3 weeks untill they send you a check. Good luck

wel it depend..is his address or place a apartment? casuse it migh tof been delivered and probably one of his neighbor got it or something like that..i had a guy tha ti shipped a part to and he contacted me saying tha the has't recieved it yet..so i check the tracking # and it show that it was delivered (this is an apartment) and he went down stair to check and there it is...all you gotta do is contact UPS customer service about the situation and folow up with it and such..in a case if the package was lost in transaction, then UPS well most likely cover for the part(s)..that had happen to a shipment that i had done for my work and it turn out ok. UPS paid for the good and that was that.

It could take awhile for everything to get straighthened out. In my instance, it took about month. I hope you insured manifold for what it was worth. UPS may ask you to provide receipt before they provide you w/ refund. They should have on file who accepted package @ buyer's end. It's possible driver delivered package to wrong house, & they just decided to keep it. In that case, it would be driver's fault. (That has also happened to me.)

exact thing happened with me. on the tracking #, says it was delivered but i never recieved it, and i assumed it got stolen on my doorsteps. it was only a $20 part so i ordered another one and recieved that one. A week passes by and one of my neihbor knocks on my door with the item i though was stolen. Maybe the ups guy sent it to the wrong address. G luck

ups isnt allowed to leave packages at an apartment without a signature.
and are only allowed to leave them at houses where they can hide the package out of sight. like over a fence etc.
alot of times they will leave it cause everything thats not delivered they have to keep on thier truck and go back the next day, and its a pain in the ***..
so keep that in mind..

well looks like we could be in 4 a ride, seems like all of you have had good and bad experiences with getting refunded. The package was delivered to a house so I dont know what happened, I will just have to keep on them about it, thanks for the feedback
