alright! so i set up and installed my turbo this week and a few things are going wrong... for one i dont think my car is going into full boost...i know it is boosting some because the wastegate and blow off valve are releasing pressure... 2nd, it is cutting out or detonating around 5k... my motor is a stock d16y7 with t3/t04e turbo. i start boosting around 3700ish. ive checked all vacuums no leaks.. no piping leaks... it appears that the turbo inlet stops spinning every now and then at idle. if someone how any idea please tell me some info!! i would greatly appriciate it! i also have a 12:1 fmu 255 fuel pump.

 

Change your spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, and wires...Check your timing with a gun and back it off 2 degrees from whatever the Y7motor reccomends...Change your fuel filter as well...

Your turbo doesn't have to spin at idle...
