Default Got some questions (i am new here)

I recently bought a 98 honda civic ex coupe that came with euro tail lights and a big slanted muffler.(not a fan of the slant) I want to stay away from the "ricer" status as much as possible.

I would like to make the car run a bit more smoother and quicker if possible. Also take the any "rice" look away from it. The tail lights look good but I was wondering if I should keep the muffler or not. Any suggestions on a muffler that isn't whiney and that is deep would be nice.

Also I'm interested to know about projection headlights that would look nice (links?)

Thanks for everybody's help.

I think OEM **** looks better than euro tail and projector headlights. Get CTR headlights, or if strapped for cash get oem headlights and do the DIY CTR job on them. The muffler is slanted so i'm guessing that the piping goes under the tank. Thats a pretty straight route instead of going around the tank and over the axle. I would leave the muffler if it doesn't have any nasty bends in it. I don't like the slant either but if it's not that slanted it should look alright. Good luck.

IMO the tail lights are ricey. And so are projector headlights. But if that's what you like, then do it

I also thought the euro tail lights are a bit "ricey" but I thought they looked ok so I kept them so far.

As for the muffler it has a loud sound which doesn't bother me much. i just don't like the slight slant on it.

Can I have some links to where they sell CTR products? I'm not familiar with them. (I like the black tinted headlights)

Thanks for all your help.

haha , actuallay thats the thread where i got the idea of just painting my altezza's black instead of having to buy OEM's and shipping them. There is a post on the FAQ thread on the first page of eg+civic/del sol called how to bake yourlights. the guy bakes them, pulls the back and the clean lense apart, paints the silver piece on the inside black that gives it the black tink....like the CTR

It's still a civic, so the si taillights will work, now if you put the DOHC VTEC sticker on the side and didn't have a DOHC VTEC motor then that would be bad!

But it is your car, and your $$$ so do what you want and what YOU like, not what people here on H-T tell you!

I would ditch the tail lights, b/c all the euro lights I've ever seen just make the car look cheap!
