Default largest size tires that can fit on stock 94 DX rims...

I have a 94 Dx Hatch with the stock silver rims on it... i think the 175's on it right now are tiny and dangerous... so I want to upgrade them to a larger size... can I put larger ones? like 185's or 195's?

Hey, I am assuming that we are talkin 13's, so the bigest I have seen are 215/50's but they looked way too wide, good for street slicks though.....185/65's look perfect and handle so much better than 165's or 175's........cheap too...peace

what makes you think that tiny is dangerous? having an oversized tire on a tiny rim IS dangerous. the biggest tire i would go with is a 185/70-13.

Considering the car only weighs 2000 pounds, 175's arent really THAT narrow.

im mostly concerned about safety and gas mileage...

i dont want to go too wide cuz of gas mileage... but i want the tires to be ok when i occasionally take corners a little harder than i should...

do u still think 175s are ok?

seeing as the oem size is 175/70-13, i don't see why not. just remember your car is not a race car.
