brake caliper problem on my dd. need some help quick.
ok well the front driverside brake started to make a terrible grinding noise last week so i inspected and the pads were shot, one was to the metal. on the passenger side the pads still had some life left.
anyways, i replaced the pads on both sides . while changing them the piston on the driver side was a real @$#$ to get to compress. i noticed the next day a smell, like the pads were burning up but thought maybe they just had to wear in or something, cuz the car was breaking and driving fine again.iknow...i know
.
well then my gf drove the car for a few days and last night she said it was ginding again like it had so i took it for a spin and it seems as though the pads have worn all the way down in a matter of days on the driver side. this i assume means the caliper is compressing and then staying compressed? if that is the case how do i fix this problem? thanks in advance
