Z10 Radius Bar Install Help
Finally got the bar in place after some quality time with the BFH. 5/6 bolts aint bad... I cross-threaded one in an attempt to pull the bar into place.
As for the center mount, I haven't drilled it yet, but it makes no sense to me. There are 3 holes in the center mount, but only the last hole fits under the rad support. I understand this bar fits more than one chassis, but the bolt they supplied was too big for the hole. In addition, if it did fit through, why a 4" bolt when it only has to secure to 3 layers of sheetmetal? Am I missing something here? Am I about to join the ranks of we-todd?
Here's a pic of my center mount, with a too long/too big bolt:

n/m i'll upload the pic later

This has been covered. The bolt they shipped is too long, just go buy a shorter one. While your at it replace the stripped bolt as well. Apparently you need to have all the bolts installed to enjoy the non wheel hopping goodness.
I read through all the threads, and some said the bolt was too long, and some said it worked. I just don't understand why they would include a bolt, regarless of length, that didn't fit in the first place. No one said anythign abou this.
And the threads in the frame are cross threaded, so I can't put it in. Well, I could try but the bolt would probably snap.

Get a tap and clean the threads up.
My other option is to thread it in crossed, and just drive the f00ker in there, crossthreaded, but it would only hold up one time I think... and hopefully I'll never have to take off the bar.
On the center Tab there are 3 holes, the one furthest from the motor, (out front )that is under the core support the bolt does not fit through. I just took the drill bit they recommended and drilled through the hole and through the core support and installed the bolt they sent.

It would most definately snap. Just suck it up and do it the right way. Get a tap and clean up the threads. You are going to regret it later if you dont do it right this time.
Arg! Got one bar on, but the bolt on the fork on the drivers side would not come off with an impact wrench. Tried head, back and forth, nothing....
