JG Edelbrock intake manifolds
anyone believe this manifold can deliver 15-20 whp horsepower over a stock manifold...have any of you gotten this intake manifold yet for the itr...for 595.00 with the optional porting it better...whats your take on this intake by JG
wow, didn't know it was THAT much.
From what i see it has bigger, shorter ports and the plenum is centered. Not sure if it will give an improvement on an otherwise stock motor.
This looks like a good product to add to the list of things for H-T. to dyno for the sake of us all.

well my motor is pretty much not stock so that is why i am wondering...i am using a type r manifold now and if i can bolt this on and get 10whp, then what the hell why not...i just spent 900 to get 15 more from a new set of cams
It will give you around 15 or so more horse power. But its all up top from 8000Rpm to like 10,000. Its really a race manifold not the best for the street. My 2 cents
Looks pretty close to a Type R manifold to me....
Optimized for maximum power from 7000 to 10,000 rpm for Turbo or All Motor applications. JG prototypes have powered naturally aspirated World Touring engines to over 320 engine dyno horsepower. 7.5 lbs. lighter than stock. Accepts oversized throttle bodies out-of-the-box. Available September 2001. Excellent for transplants.

OK, I will tell you guys flat out....I saw this header tested on my dyno on 2 cars...and I immediately asked Edelbrock to be a wholesaler for them.
I only sell stuff that is good. I don't want anybody calling me back saying I "steered" them wrong...
Its freaking good. The header is good, and the intake manifold is good.
No doubt on this earth.

not doubting that its good, but where does all the power come into play...from 6000 rpm and up...i dont want to rev to 10,000 all the time to see the power gains...the other thing is, is it strong in the low end too
Yeah with the manifold the peek power is 6000rpm and up! But the JG Edelbrock Header is great for all vtec alplications! In fact I'm getting my ls/vtec dyno tuned at JG by Joel. I will be using the JG Header I'll post the plot when I get it done.
