Default Cam Gear Settings

Hey, I had my car dynoed a few weeks ago and noticed my torque and hp both fell some between 4500-5700. It put down 171hp-120tq w/just an ingen cai. I am putting on a header/exhaust in the next week or so and would like to have this problem fixed asap. I have an xs engineering ecu in the car, and adjustable cam gears. Would adjusting them off 0,0 help my problem? Are they're any common settings for cars with chipped ecu's, or is tuning the ecu what I'm in need of? Thanks for the help?

also, it feels as though the car almost bog's between those rpm's, but as soon as vtec engages, there's a very noticable power gain. This was also seen on my dyno graph, which I'll post if I need too.

It is probably your ECU, but don't quote me on that. Hopefully some old timers here will square you away. IMO, there could be a blip in the ecu causing the drop in power. If it were me, I'd get rid of the XS Engineering ECU and go with Uberdata or something very close to it. Check out these links:

Hope you get it fixed. Make sure you adjust the cams when your on a dyno.
