Default Best bolt-on header

Hey anybody know which is the best bolt-on header that posts good numbers? I'm not talkin about Bisi's or DTR's, I mean ones that actually bolt on to a cat and exhaust.

if you're just planning to bolt a header on and just want a lil more performance for your money..go either jdm itr header or dc jdm itr header.

you gotta tell us your goals and budget man.

Budget is key. As off the shelf headers go, of course Toda, JUN, or Comptech would be ideal.

But if all you are worried about is fitment to the cat, any header fabricator, I.E. DTR, SMSP, AN-R, RMF can have the header match up to your stock flanges of your cat. Don't let that limit your decision.

What's some opinions on DC Sports 4-2-1 headers? I was referred to this one a couple times but with no explaination. I can see them on Ebay right now for about $209. Price looks pretty good but to me sound is also a factor. NO RICE!!! ...bone-stock '94 GSR BTW

I assume you got the ceramic mild steel one...Since i'm in NY i think I should go stainless. But how does the car sound after being installed or is it not a big difference?

it depends on what you want. are you looking for serious power out of your motor or just a little boost. i bought dc 4-2-1 a while ago because i bent the **** out of my old ones. i bought them just to get back on the road. i regret buying those more and more everyday because now i have a built b16 and those headers are holding me back like 10-15whp,

big power and a deep wallet= toda, comptech, HYTECH (the sickest header ever)

mid-low power and on a budget = any dc or jdm type-r.

Everybody thinks price is all that matters, but i'll tell you this...

Megan Race has a very nice 4-1 stainless steel header that compares very well to the DC JDM 4-1. It has a 2.5" collector and is fabricated very well. I got one for $135 + shipping and havent had any complaints.

A friend of mine has this same header on his B16A 91 Si hatch and it is nice.

of course it cant compare to a custom made speciality race header, but for any bolt on header, i would recommend this one.

Megan Race =
