Is anyone else's R hatch like mine.
It's kinds hard for me to explain what I just found. It seems that my hatch/trunk is dented just because of my closing it. Before you say anything, no...I don't push down hard on the hatch after it is closed. I am overly gentle with opening and closing the hatch. Its very hard to notice but it seems there is a slight indentation from where I touch the hatch to bring it down. Has anyone else noticed this. I will try to get some pics up but it might be difficult to see the dent--easier to see in direct glare. The dent seems to have formed right at the edge of the trunk before it drops off. Its just above and to the right of the rear A badge on the edge of the trunk lid. I suggest anyone who has the time to, inspect their car to see if their trunk is dented. It might just be that my particular trunk is a lemon with freakishly thin sheet metal but I'm not so sure.

I definatley thought about closing the trunk with the wing but I really tried not to put undue stress on trunk or the wing. It seems I was sadly mistaken...I'm glad that someone knows what I'm talking about, not so glad that we have dented trunks. This seems like kind off an Integra fluke that Acura should have addressed.

90% of my dents were put on my car at Nopi 2 years ago in a drunken fury... after the event was over I saw them and felt like ****.
I use the wing and sometimes use my thumb on the rear A symbol to shut the hatch.

So you do acknowledge that shutting the hatch by touching the actual lid itself can cause slight dents/indentations. Right?
i got a dent in mine because my wife shut it with her marble sized elbow, dont know why girls cant close stuff like normal people.

I see. Its good to know that I'm not just going phychotic. I thought I was just seeing things because I couldn't belive the trunk would dent from something like just touching it...but apparently it does.

seeing how everyone around me slams their hatch/trunk via the lid or the wing, i thought i was the only one to do this.

I always use the "A" emblem to close the hatch but fingers do slip off emblem.
4yrs later, especially FBP, you can see all hair line clear coat scratch around the
emblem.
CAN'T Win no matter how cautious! OH well, life goes on.
