Default Annoying Rattles

There is this annoying rattling sound coming from around my headers. Any ideas on what it could be... I took the heat sheild off and it still does it! 94 Prelude SI Ideas? Thanks!

Could be your valves need adjustment.

check the rear covers on the ac compressor and alternator. If it is definetly a rattle coming from that area.

im begining to think staticrex is right. the sound is coming from the valve area. what does an adjustment consist of and how much does it normally cost to get done? any info on the subject would help!

I found several brackets loose... so I removed them, but the sound is still there. I think the write up on the valve adjustment is great but im not good enough to do it myself. How much do you think it would cost for a local shop to do it? AVERAGE

call a couple of them and find out....... labor will vary from shop to shop, so calling is the only way to know for sure.

Do you have a DC header??

Also check the heat sheilds running along the length of the exhaust..it sounds like its near the engine, but could be the exhaust...

vavle clatter is usally a ticking sound, not a rattle. if its a rattle that comes and goes then its a sheild. If there is a constant ticking, then you need a valve adjustment. the shop i use blasts through valve adjustments in like 5 mins tops, just depends what their labor charges are.
