uhh...I want to say yes...cause you can put a quaife LSD in a euro-r tranny which is T2W4 and very similar to the U2Q7...

They aren't like the M2B4 LSD which has a different sized casing.

I would say it will work but don't hold me to it

how are you getting it, did someone put an aftermarket lsd in their Type-R tranny? If so, find the part number and cross reference with the part number for the prelude version, it should be the same

My friend bought a new tranny to his Typer Accord. It got some problems with fifth gear and somethinhg else was on it. Warranty fixed it once but not any more, so he bought a brand new one. And he asked me would I like to buy the LSD.

Oh it works great and I love the LSD, it's just not interchangeable with anything else honda or aftermarket. So if I break the differential, might as well not have the rest of the transmission where in a u2q7 or the t*** i could replace it with a quaife or similar.

Yes I've done this personally. It fits fine, just be sure to properly set the preload on the diff bearings.

Yes I used the 93 Prelude inner joint and half shaft, they worked without issue.

(I used a different shaft/outer joint as my H22 Type S is in a Civic.)

So if I have an H22A Quaife LSD, it will fit into a Euro R transmission?

This may be way off topic but I like when trial users come to h-t, ask logical questions and get them answered. I've just seeing lots of recient flaming of new users lately.
