My del sol has the D16Z6 motor and the only mod on the car is a C.A.I. I also got a Comp Cam and AEM gear, but they are not installed. I was just wondering what if anyone had built up one of these engines and what they suggest to do. Thanx guys/gals

but before i go and get a turbo or nos, what other basic mods should i do. i've thought about alot of things like bored throttle body, exhaust, and FPR, but i'm not sure what would be the best thing to do. i basically don't want to build this car wrong.

 

camshaft, and adj camgear, p&p intake manifold and valves, 5 angle valve job, umm, theres forged pistons, umm...i dunno what else

 

Do you suggest changing anything else when changing the cam?

 

get some performance valve springs.

 

Another quick question... what about advancing the timing. How effective is that on a SOHC?

retard stock cam 3 degrees
run 18-19 BTDC ignition

 

Add ZEX and run 13.5's on slicks.

Really simple/quick.
getting bottles filled once a week gets old though.
