Default What's a good OEM rad for a B-series race car (2000 Civic coupe)?

I am almost done assembling my road race 2000 Civic Coupe with B18C1 block B16a head with headwork, ITR cams. I need to choose a rad that will be affordable but that will easily handle cooling chores, which is why I'm considering OEM parts. Do I want full width single core, full width dual core, or half width dual core? Which model came with which car? I am aware that brackets have to be modified for full width rads, that's not a problem. Thanks.

for some reason, I'm thinking integras use a dual row, single core. That's how my 96ls was at least.

integra rad in a civic: http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/jsrad/jsrad.html

also the del sol VTEC has a dual core, a lot say it's the best bang for the buck. i'm 95% sure it fits right in the 6th gen - not 100% and i haven't done it so double check that. and a 96-00 EX with an auto tranny has a dual core also. but these are 1/2 the size of the integra one.

personally, i'd go for the integra radiator.

Yup!
Even Type-R are single core...wondering why

Anyway...

Vince,I have installed a 2 core full lenght for an Integra. It is made as a replacement from SPI!

Above pics installed

I have somemore comparing the stock one vs the aftermarket but cardomain sucks right now...

One of my friend had problem with is temperature in is Civic.Back then we had a new 2 core Delsol and still have temp. problem.

Since then,we hadded the same rad and we didn't experience any problem anymore!
Even if I stayed all day on the track!

You will have to move the lower bracket and made some new one but peace of mind is what I was looking for!

UAP should sell those SPI#1742 'Teg '94-01

Can really tell you...'cause I work there @ SPI,so I hava a rebate as an employee.

I paid 180+ tax.

My guess that UAP should sell those at ~230...(big guess)

Even if you only take a single core, take a 'Teg one.
Large Frontal area will definately be better the the 2 core Delsol one. This rad doesn't take more coolant then the one it replaces...what gives???

(Nope,I can't get you one...they check with our licence if it is indeed for our car...and already bought two.)

Sorry Vince.
I'd like to help you out!

315$????

Wooutta!

Maybe you should ask Alex if he could get you a good price....it will be pricey anyway...but.

Chassel sell a double core rad like mine but,it is for a Accord.
That means, you will have to get creative with the upper hose since it will be near the center of the rad.

Alex took is rad there last year.
If memory serves me right,he paid like 160 for it.

You should try!

By lenght and wide it is the same rad except for the upper hose.It is a 2 core.

If you need more assistance, let me know!

find a used type R or GSR rad, should be about $150-$180 and that will do the job
