i just noticed when switch gears its not as smooth as it used to be. it seems like it happend all of a sudden. It happens in every gear. i dont know how to explain it but it just seems like its "Choppy" goin into gears, like its not smooth goin into and out of gears. what can this be. please help. it really doesnt feel right!!

 

Change your tranny fluid with some Honda MTF. It could be a lot of things, but start from there.

 

It's probably your Clutch goin out. What does your clutch feel like??? Also try adjusting your clutch cable. i have run into this problem before. If your clutch cable has to much slack in it your pressure plate isn't disengaging all the way.

Integra81, when you shift, does it sometimes grind? I have problems similar to yours, but my gears grind.

 

yes sometimes it does grind. is usually when i rev up high. sometimes it grinds at low rpms but mostly at higher rpms

 

adjust the clutch cable first and check fluid level in the tranny.

Is it just 1-2 shift, or 2-3 shift, or all gears?

 

sometimes on my tranny I can hardly put it into 1st gear,but after i get moving i can get into gears fine wiht a small grind from letting clutch out too early.... I have adjusted the cable to its max and i have a act heavy duty plate and street/strip disc.. any sugestion???

 

i ran into the same problem with my car and me and rio ninja though of everything but came up with nothing and then it just fixed itself. the only thing i can think of is that your clutch isn't disengaging all the way causing it to grind

sounds like time to replace tranny oil with OEM honda tranny oil. I did that and it helped my shifting and almost stopped grinding at higher RPM.

 

I think its time to replace your tranny or synchro and hubs not your tranny fluid honda trannys usually start grinding going into third because my s1 is starting to and a guy I know replaced his tranny three times because of the third gear grinding.
