Default y1 trans

I just did a b16 swap into my 90 crx my trans is leaking fluid from the passenger side where the axle goes in whenever i put fluid in it. What could be causing this problem?

My guess is that when you installed the axle, the rubber piece holding the fluid back became dislodged. Have you pulled the axle out to inspect it yet?

Yes, you need to put the axle into the tranny before you put in the fluid.

always change seals............use the 90-93 integra axle seals....might be the same with other trannies as well.

With the Y1 tranny, I know that you will need to use a SiR axle on the drivers side if you are using the Y1 half-shaft. I'm not too sure if you also have to use a SiR axle on the passenger's side as well. That maybe the reason that it leaks as the Integra shaft maybe too short to seal properly. I would change the seal first and see if that remedies your problem.
