I took my new Civic (ex-Andrie's HC car) out to Infineon for the first time this past weekend.

I was only able to muster a 1:58:xx. I'm curious what sort of times you FWD HPDE and HC racers are running currently at Infineon? I know what Andrie is able to run in my car, but I'd rather not disclose that at the moment. I need to know where I need to be. My excuses:

- only driven Infineon once before
- never driven FWD before, especially never driven this Civic before
- tons of traffic, and lack of clear track
- I suck

Lets keep this thread ongoing so we can chart the progress of top laptimes of Honda drivers at Infineon.

Oh, also list your approx weight, hp, and tires.

Don't feel too bad, cause Andrie's pretty damn fast. BTW-Is his EK done?

 

I thought you did good Kenji.....Andrie is just used to going fast and wants to push you to go faster.

His EK is almost ready! We have about 5 more little things on the list and the car will be track ready! Car sounds bad ***!!! cant wait to see him on the track.

 

Yeah, I know. I know where I can find a few more seconds to shave the next time I'm there. Hopefully I'll get more track time to get a better rhythm.

Dont beat yourself up. You and the car looked good out there. Dont worry the times, they will come down as you get more track time and get a better feel for the car and the track. Infineon isn't an easy track to go fast at right off the bat and it is very unforgiving if you make mistakes. It was good meeting you.

The weather was perfect that day. Wasn't too cool or too hot. It was perfect!

In all fairness, it was your first time in the car. And like Brent say Sears is not an easy track to go fast right off the bat.

But as your team-mate, I like to push you hard

 

which civic were you, kenji? and what HPDE group?

I ran my silver ek there in group 1 since it was my first time in this car at this track. Had a great time and really loved that track.

Would like to meet up w/ you guys at the next event!

 

As RedZone said, my EK is almost done. Few more things to cross off the list and it will be ready. As far as it competitiveness, it is still a question mark.

I must say I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of work and professionalism RedZone shown thus far. Their work is nothing short of superb. I am glad to have them as a partner.

Glad to see you run. You should run the USTCC Hyperfest event at Sears in September. We do 1:51's pretty easy and the occasional 1:49-1:50

 

Jeff, it would be fun. I might do USTCC at hyperfest weekend too, if we get the new car dialed in. Should be able to give you gusy a good fight!

Why should he do that? He will be racing HC.

 

any HC guys wana let me put a camcorder in there car? i have the mount and everything. it weighs less then 5lbs, shoot me an PM
