Default 97 Prelude SH clutch advice

Alright, I need a new clutch soon, and I don't want to make a mistake in the one i choose, so i want feedback from some people who really know their stuff about my car. I have a 1997 Honda Prelude SH. I need to know a few clutchs that are good for me, and also some good sites that I might be able to find them. I don't race much, however drive very fast and want a strong very reliable clutch, that can take a beating. I am also highly considering getting a new flywheel as well, so feedback on that is also needed. I want something that isn't gonna cost a lot, only because I dont have a lot to spend, however as much feedback as possible will help me decide whats best for me and my bullshit budget.
In replacing a clutch and flywheel, if there is anything else that is recommended to change because so much is going to be opened up, let me know too.
Thanks a lot

i went with the exedy organic racing clutch kit, its been a few months and no problems. Very easy on the budget ( about 200.00 ), also Exedy manufactures the oem clutch, so they must be doing something right.

You should have a rear main seal on hand, if yours is leaking it should be replaced while the tranny is out.

I second the exedy organic clutch, resurface your flywheel, and have a rear main seal around is case it leaks.

An Exedy clutch i heard from some people is really good. However, there are like 4-5 different models available. What about pressure plates. Also in resurfacing a flywheel, i also heard that sometimes they get off line, and **** up big time, do you guys think its worth it to jus buy another flywheel. I got about 400-500 dollers, to get a good clutch and figure out what to do with my flywheel. Also how about when working on the clutch and flywheel, is there anything else I should replace too?

The ACT Street/Strip clutch works real nice on my H22. But then again, my engine is in a del Sol and I like a clutch that grabs hard. This clutch has taken many nights of racing for me with no problems and well, it feels just like it did a year ago when it was new.

The only thing that I don't like about it is that it is very hard to slip it at a high RPM without getting that burnt clutch smell, and it takes a considerable amount of pressure to engage the clutch though. In traffic jams, it sucks.

Do u think the stage 1 exedy clutch is good enough? I dont want anything that may give me any problems anywhere down the road for a while. I will difinetely not be going turbo either.

u'd be fine with an oem clutch, but the stage 1 is actually a bit cheaper than oem and it wont be giving any problems unless u decide to drop the clutch at 5k rpm 8 times a day......normal driving and then the occasional street race/track event will be fine...

You can pick up an Exedy OEM replacement clutch kit for a little over $100 shipped . . . . If you're around stock power levels, that's the way I'd go.
